Listening,Reading And Writing is Done..Next is Speaking..

MUET is something terrible if you think so, but if you think MUET is easy, MUET will not be a trouble for we all.

Listening, reading and writing parts have already gone, now left the speaking part only. Speaking is about talking in english only, and it is the only part where we can score the most. But, of course reading part is the main part of MUET, cause this part contributes almost half of the total mark. However, reading is not something you can really score the most, it is very difficult to understand the texts altogether, and the answers are sometime confusing too. In case you can score 100 and above for reading part, that's mean you can get band 3 or higher already.

Not talking about reading now, we focus on speaking. Speaking, is a part of MUET which you must translate what in your mind into the real world. Speaking is divided into two parts, first part is individual presentation and the second part is discussion. In the first part, you have to speak for 2 minutes alone about the topic and the task given. In the second part, you have to discuss about the topic for 10 minutes.

For the first part, all you to do is speak out your mind. Try to talk longer than 2 minutes until the examiner asks you to stop talking. Just speak it out, and make sure what you are talking about is easy to understand, talk clearly. Sometimes you may feel that your grammar is not good, but in speaking, your grammar is not the main problem because you only have to speak. The examiner will not consider so much about your grammar mistakes, and of course those who have great grammar skills will have a higher chances of getting high mark. But, in this 2 minutes, all you have to do is say out loud your opinions, don't care so much about your possible grammar mistakes cause it will only make you inconfident and make you speechless. You must always confident in whatever you talk about even though some of your facts may be not realistic.

For the second part, all the team members are given the task to discuss on your issue depend on your own opinions. Everyone may has own opinions, but the safest way in this session is 2 versus 2. This means that in one group, there will be four members, so you must divide that four members into two independent group. For example, you are given the topic 'Who you should donate your precious organ the most among these peoples, adult, old people, teenager or baby?' In this case, if you use the method 2 versus 2, then it will be 2 candidates should say that we should donate our organ to adults and the other 2 candidates will have to say that we should donate organs to baby, or vice versa. If you use this skill, you can extend the discussion time the most, cause when you are running out of idea, your team member can help you and backup you. So, everyone will discuss about this topic with only two major problems, that are to donate to adult or to baby. However, if you are good enough in english, there is no wrong if you all want to discuss about four problems at once time, that if only you are good than enough!! Another tip is, you must help each other to talk, there must have cooperation in your team, cause if you help your team member to talk in this session, you will get higher expectation from examiner and they will raise your mark!! The most important thing in discussion is cooperation, if no cooperation, your MUET is spoiled. Haish, what a waste, isn't it?

So, good luck to all MUET candidates, all the best from you all. Have a good time for MUET.
